SHEVELUCH VOLCANO (CAVW #300270)
56.64 N, 161.32 E; Elevation 10768 ft (3283 m), the dome elevation ~8200 ft (2500 m)
Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE
A growth of the lava dome continues (a viscous lava blocks extrude out on the northern part of it), a strong fumarolic activity and an incandescence of the dome blocks and hot avalanches accompanies this process. Satellite data by KVERT showed a weak ash plume extended about 17 km to the west from the volcano, and a thermal anomaly over the volcano.

A moderate gas-steam activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was quiet.

54.05 N, 159.44 E; Elevation 4874 ft (1486 m)
Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE
A moderate gas-steam activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was obscured by clouds.
EBEKO VOLCANO (CAVW #290380)
50.69 N, 156.01 E; Elevation 3792 ft (1156 m)
Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE
A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 2.3 km a.s.l., ash clouds drifted to north-east of the volcano. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was obscured by clouds.

Kamchatkan and Kuriles Volcanic Activity

KVERT monitor 30 active volcanoes of Kamchatka and 6 active volcanoes of Northern Kuriles. Not all of these volcanoes had eruptions in historical time, however they are potentially active and therefore are of concern to aviation.

Explosive-extrusive eruption of the volcano continues. Ash explosions up to 32,800-49,200 ft (10-15 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft.
A growth of the lava dome continues (a viscous lava blocks extrude out on the northern part of it), a strong fumarolic activity and an incandescence of the dome blocks and hot avalanches accompanies this process. Satellite data showed the thermal anomaly over the volcano all week; plumes of resuspended ash extended for about 200 km to southeast of the volcano on 30 April and 01-02 May.

A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data shows a weak thermal anomaly over the volcano on 27 and 29 April, and 02 May. The volcano was quiet or obscured by clouds in the other days of week.

A growth of the lava dome continues (a viscous lava blocks extrude out on the northern part of it), a strong fumarolic activity and an incandescence of the dome blocks and hot avalanches accompanies this process. According to video and satellite data, a resuspended ash plume on the height about 2.5-3.0 km a.s.l. extended for 70 km to south-east of the volcano. The thermal anomaly over the volcano was noted.
