A growth of the lava dome continues, a strong fumarolic activity and an incandescence of the dome blocks and hot avalanches accompanies this process. Satellite data by KVERT showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano.

A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 3.0 km a.s.l., ash clouds drifted to the east from the volcano. Satellite data by KVERT shows the volcano was obscured by clouds.

KVERT monitor active volcanoes of Kamchatka and the Kurile Islands. Not all of these volcanoes had eruptions in historical time, however they are potentially active and therefore are of concern to aviation.

Satellite data showed a weak thermal anomaly over the volcano on 26, 29 and 31 July, and 01 August; the volcano was quiet or obscured by clouds during other days of the week.

According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 2.5 km a.s.l. on 25-26 and 29 July, and 01 August, ash clouds drifted to the different directions from the volcano. Satellite data showed the volcano was quiet or obscured by clouds last week.
