(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | The explosive activity of the volcano continues. According to satellite data by KVERT, the explosive events of Chicurachki volcano began probably on 15:30 UTC on 05 February, 2023. The explosions send ash up to 4-4.5 km a.s.l., and ash plumes are extending for 90 km to the north and northeast of the volcano. Aerosolic clouds are observing during these eruptive events. KVERT continues to monitor Chikurachki volcano.
The explosive activity of the volcano continues. Ash explosions up to 6 km (19,700 ft) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft. |
