KVERT DAILY REPORT Kamchatkan and Kuriles Volcanic Activity August 18, 2021, all time is UTC SHEVELUCH VOLCANO (CAVW #300270) 56.64 N, 161.32 E; Elevation 3283 m (10768 ft), the dome elevation ~2500 m (8200 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A growth of the lava dome continues, a strong fumarolic activity, and an incandescence of the lava dome and hot avalanches accompanies this process. Satellite data showed: a bright thermal anomaly over the volcano. KARYMSKY VOLCANO (CAVW #300130) 54.05 N, 159.44 E; Elevation 1486 m (4874 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data showed: an ash plume extended for 60 km to the south-east of the volcano; a thermal anomaly over the volcano. EBEKO VOLCANO (CAVW #290380) 50.69 N, 156.01 E; Elevation 1156 m (3792 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 2.8 km a.s.l., ash clouds drifted to the north-east of the volcano. Satellite data showed the volcano was obscured by clouds. CHIRINKOTAN VOLCANO (CAVW #290260) 48.98 N, 153.48 E; Elevation 724 m (2375 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data showed ash plume and clouds drifted for 100 km to the east-southeast of the volcano. BEZYMIANNY VOLCANO (CAVW #300250) 55.97 N, 160.6 E; Elevation 2882 m (9453 ft) Aviation Colour Code is YELLOW A moderate activity of the volcano continues.
