(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | According to the data by Tokyo VAAC, explosive event began at 0453 UTC on 16 June, 2017. At now an ash cloud in size 28x25 km drift to the north-east from the volcano. KVERT continues to monitor the volcano.
Ash explosions up to 32,800-49,200 ft (10-15 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. |
