(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | An eruptive activity of the volcano is growing. According to visual data from Matua Island, explosions sent ash up to 3-4 km a.s.l. at 22:45 UTC on 14 September; an ash cloud drift to the north-northeast from the volcano. Before that, ash explosion was noted at 08:42 UTC on 12 September. Satellite data by KVERT showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano on 08 and 11-12 September; the volcano was obscured by clouds in the other days.
An eruptive activity of the volcano is growing. Ash explosions up to 32,800-49,200 ft (10-15 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircrafts. |

(14) Remarks: | The crater of the volcano is filled with lava. A thermal anomaly over the volcano is noting sometimes from 07 May, 2018. Moderate ash explosion of the volcano Sarychev Peak occurred on 11 August, 12 and 14 September, 2018. |
