(11) Volcanic Activity Summary:Strombolian-type of explosive eruption of the Klyuchevskoy volcano is observing from December 27, 2023. The bright thermal anomaly over the volcano is noting at satellite images. Satellite and video data by KVERT showed an ash column rose up to 5-5.5 km a.s.l., and an ash plume is extending for 50 km to the north-west of the volcano. KVERT continues to monitor Klyuchevskoy volcano.

The activity of the volcano continues. A danger of ash rising up to 7 km (23,000 ft) a.s.l. remains. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft.
