(11) Volcanic Activity Summary:According to satellite data, a moderate gas-steam activity of the volcano Karymsky continues. A very weak thermal anomaly over the volcano was noted on 06 April, 2020, last time. However, over the past few weeks we have noted a small ash content in the gas-steam plumes of the volcano (traces of ash in the snow). Probably, activity of the volcano is gradually increasing. KVERT continues to monitor Karymsky volcano.

A moderate gas-steam activity of the volcano continues. Ash explosions up to 10,000- 13,100 ft (3-4 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircrafts.
