(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | The fumalole activity of the Klyuchevskoy volcano continues. The large hot lava flows lying in the Apakhonchichsky and Kozyrevsky chutes, continues to provoke the collapses of old pyroclastic material from the sides of the chutes. From time to time, ash plumes appeare that raise to 5.5 km a.s.l., an ash plume is extending for 258 km to the east of the volcano.
The activity of the volcano continues. A danger of ash rising up to 7 km (23,000 ft) a.s.l. remains. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft. |
