(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | Probably, a phreatic explosions occurre at Apakhonchichsky chute, and old pyroclastic material collapsed from chutes sides. As result of this, an ash cloud rose up to 8.2 km a.s.l., and it is moving to the east-northeast of the volcano.
The summit explosive-effusive eruption of the volcano continues. A danger of ash explosions up to 7-8 km (23,000-26,200 ft) a.s.l. remains. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. |
