(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | A moderate gas-steam activity of the volcano continues. According to satellite data, the volcano was quiet after gas-steam explosions with small amount of ash which occurred on 16 September, 2017. KVERT continues to monitor Zhupanovsky volcano.
A moderate activity of the volcano continues. A danger of strong ash explosions up to 26,200-32,800 ft (8-10 km) a.s.l. is remains. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. |
