(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | The activity of the volcano is gradually increasing. Probably, a new block of lava is squeezed out on the lava dome of the volcano, this is accompanied by the collapse of small avalanches. A gas-steam plume with some amount of ash extended about 90 km to the west from the volcano.
The extrusive eruption of the volcano continues. Ash explosions up to 10-15 km (32,800-49,200 ft) a.s.l. could occur during next several days. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. |
