Satellite data by KVERT shows a plume of resuspended ash is extending for 146 km to the west-northwest of the volcano.
In addition, the ash deposited after the Sheveluch volcano eruption on 10-13 April, 2023, rose from the slopes of the volcanoes of the Klyuchevskaya group, and the plume of resuspended ash also extended for 164 km to the west-northwest of these volcanoes.
An extrusive eruption of the volcano continues. A danger of ash explosions up to 10 km (32,800 ft) a.s.l. is remains. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. |
