KVERT DAILY REPORT Kamchatkan and Kuriles Volcanic Activity April 18, 2023, all time is UTC SHEVELUCH VOLCANO (CAVW #300270) 56.64 N, 161.32 E; Elevation 3283 m (10768 ft), the dome elevation ~2500 m (8200 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A growth of the lava dome continues after paroxysmal explosive eruption. A strong fumarole activity, an incandescence of the lava dome, and sometimes explosions accompanies this process. Satellite data by KVERT showed the plume of resuspended ash extended for 224 km to the west-northwest of the volcano. In addition, the ash deposited after the Sheveluch volcano eruption on 10-13 April, 2023, rose from the slopes of the volcanoes of the Klyuchevskaya group, and the plume of resuspended ash also extended to the west-northwest of these volcanoes.
