KVERT DAILY REPORT Kamchatkan and Kuriles Volcanic Activity August 25, 2022, all time is UTC SHEVELUCH VOLCANO (CAVW #300270) 56.64 N, 161.32 E; Elevation 3283 m (10768 ft), the dome elevation ~2500 m (8200 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A growth of the lava dome continues, a strong fumarolic activity, an incandescence of the lava dome, explosions, and hot avalanches accompanies this process. Satellite data by KVERT showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano; the ash plume stretched for 150 km to the east of the volcano. KLYUCHEVSKOY VOLCANO (CAVW #300260) 56.06 N, 160.64 E; Elevation 4750 m (15580 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A strong wind lifted ash from the eastern slope of Klyuchevskoy volcano, a plume of resuspended ash extended for 230 km to the east of the volcano. KARYMSKY VOLCANO (CAVW #300130) 54.05 N, 159.44 E; Elevation 1486 m (4874 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano. EBEKO VOLCANO (CAVW #290380) 50.69 N, 156.01 E; Elevation 1156 m (3792 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 3.5 km a.s.l., ash clouds drifted to the northeast of the volcano. Satellite data by KVERT showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano. CHIKURACHKI VOLCANO (CAVW #290360) 50.32 N, 155.46 E; Elevation 1816 m (5956 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed: an ash plume stretched for 8 km to the southeast of the volcano; a thermal anomaly over the volcano. BEZYMIANNY VOLCANO (CAVW #300250) 55.97 N, 160.6 E; Elevation 2882 m (9453 ft) Aviation Colour Code is YELLOW An extrusive-effusive eruption of the volcano continues, a strong fumarolic activity, an incandescence of the lava dome, and hot avalanches accompanies this process.
