A growth of the lava dome continues, a strong fumarolic activity sometimes with some amount of ash, and an incandescence of the dome blocks and hot avalanches accompanies this process. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 2.5 km a.s.l. on 22-23 and 28 November; ash clouds drifted to the southeast and east from the volcano. Ashfall was noted at Severo-Kurilsk on 23 November.
