KVERT DAILY REPORT Kamchatkan and Kuriles Volcanic Activity August 14, 2021, all time is UTC SHEVELUCH VOLCANO (CAVW #300270) 56.64 N, 161.32 E; Elevation 3283 m (10768 ft), the dome elevation ~2500 m (8200 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A growth of the lava dome continues, a strong fumarolic activity, and an incandescence of the lava dome and hot avalanches accompanies this process. Satellite data showed: a gas-steam plume containing some amount of ash together with a plume of resuspended ash from the southern volcanic flank extended for 124 km to the east of the volcano; a bright thermal anomaly over the volcano. KARYMSKY VOLCANO (CAVW #300130) 54.05 N, 159.44 E; Elevation 1486 m (4874 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data showed: an ash plume extended for 60 km to the southeast of the volcano; a thermal anomaly over the volcano. EBEKO VOLCANO (CAVW #290380) 50.69 N, 156.01 E; Elevation 1156 m (3792 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 2.5 km a.s.l., ash clouds drifted to the south and southeast of the volcano. Satellite data showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano. CHIRINKOTAN VOLCANO (CAVW #290260) 48.98 N, 153.48 E; Elevation 724 m (2375 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Three explosive events of the volcano were noted today. Satellite data showed ash clouds drifted for 75 km to the southwest and south of the volcano. BEZYMIANNY VOLCANO (CAVW #300250) 55.97 N, 160.6 E; Elevation 2882 m (9453 ft) Aviation Colour Code is YELLOW A moderate activity of the volcano continues.
