Satellite data by KVERT showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano. EBEKO VOLCANO (CAVW #290380) 50.69 N, 156.01 E; Elevation 1156 m (3792 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was obscured by clouds. CHIKURACHKI VOLCANO (CAVW #290360) 50.32 N, 155.46 E; Elevation 1816 m (5956 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE According to data by Tokyo VAAC and KVERT, the explosive eruption of Chicurachki volcano began plobably on 18:30 UTC on 28 January, 2023. The explosions sent ash up to 3 km a.s.l., and ash plume extended for 75 km to the southeast of the volcano.
