KVERT DAILY REPORT Kamchatkan and Kuriles Volcanic Activity February 05, 2023, all time is UTC SHEVELUCH VOLCANO (CAVW #300270) 56.64 N, 161.32 E; Elevation 3283 m (10768 ft), the dome elevation ~2500 m (8200 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A growth of the lava dome continues, a strong fumarolic activity, an incandescence of the lava dome, sometimes explosions, and hot avalanches accompanies this process. Satellite data by KVERT showed a thermal anomaly over the volcano. EBEKO VOLCANO (CAVW #290380) 50.69 N, 156.01 E; Elevation 1156 m (3792 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 4 km a.s.l., and ash clouds drifted to the northeast and east of the volcano; an ashfall was noted at Severo-Kurilsk. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was obscured by clouds. CHIKURACHKI VOLCANO (CAVW #290360) 50.32 N, 155.46 E; Elevation 1816 m (5956 ft) Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed explosions sent ash up to 4.5 km a.s.l., and ash plume extended for 90 km to the north and northeast of the volcano. BEZYMIANNY VOLCANO (CAVW #300250) 55.97 N, 160.6 E; Elevation 2882 m (9453 ft) Aviation Colour Code is YELLOW A growth of the lava dome continues, a strong fumarolic activity, and sometimes hot avalanches accompanied this process.
