Not all of these volcanoes had eruptions in historical time, however they are potentially active and therefore are of concern to aviation. A growth of the lava dome continues, a strong fumarole activity, and an incandescence of the lava dome, explosions, and hot avalanches accompanies this process. Ash explosions up to 12 km (39,400 ft) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. The eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed: explosions sent ash up to 10 km a.s.l. on 28 April, the ash cloud moved a distance of more than 1000 km to the west-northwest of the volcano. In addition, on 21-22 April, explosions sent ash up to 5 km a.s.l., ash clouds moved for 95 km to the east and southeast of the volcano.
