Major Anderson, I'm happy to help. If you are chiefly interested in earthquakes, have you contacted the Alaska Earthquake Center? I know they use KML to feed their parts of their map. What we have that they do not is the current ground-based volcano alert levels. I am currently redesigning the website and while we do not currently publish in KML, the new map I'm building does. I could give you advanced access to a KML feed of volcano color codes, and if there is other information or meta data that would be useful this is wonderful timing for me to integrate it. My number here is 907-451-5033. -Scott Crass Analyst/Programmer -------- Major Michael Anderson wrote: Hello! I am Major Michael Anderson, and I am the current operations chief at the Alaskan Command on Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson. I am spearheading an effor to create a shared "picture" of Alaska for use by our partners in case of a disaster. We look at your site daily, and I was wondering if it was possible to get access to your GIS layer/service/KML file so I can put it on my daily interactive GIS map of government and emergency response activities in Alaska. Our goal is to integrate and share all pertinent information on one interactive map. I would love to talk if you folks are interested in collaborating with us. We are mostly interested in Magnitude 5 and above earthquakes during the past week, so if you could help us create a KML for that in Alaska and the surrounding area, the DoD in Alaska would be extremely grateful. My phone number at the Alaskan Command Headquarters is 907-552-4060. I look forward to talking to you!
