Hello Joe - Yes, we frequently use GIS for our work, including hazard analysis, modeling, and geologic mapping. We work with students at the University of Alaska who volunteer for AVO or work at rare internship opportunities. Best wishes on your studies, Cheryl Cameron -------- Joseph Meakem wrote: Hello, I was recently accepted at George Mason University for an MS in Geographic and Cartographic Science. While I have done some work with GIS in the past, I am still relatively new to the field. I have always had a fascination with volcanoes, and was wondering how you applied GIS technologies to your work (if at all). Also, do you ever take on summer interns, or work with students in any capacity? Thanks for your help, and I look forward to hearing from you.
