Shows a number of seismic sensor graphs so that got me curious as to what our two local mountains are "up to" presently. I see there is considerable background noise of a seemingly abnormal intensity for Redoubt and Illiamna when compared to a great many other sensors on other mountains. On Redoubt specifically there are actual "events" occurring. I assume they may be related to continued dome building and rock slides or movements or Magma? moving. Or is it glacial noise? Just wondering if the Station: RSO_EHZ_AV graph is just "typical" for this mountain and its sensor right now or is this activity somewhat intensified over its typical dormancy levels? I don't want to miss the photo ops for the next BIG one! heheheh Cheers and Happy New Year, Gary Kate Bull Geologist Alaska Volcano Observatory ADGGS 3354 College Rd Fairbanks, AK 99709 tel: (907) 451 5055 fax: (907) 451 5050
