Thanks for the reply. I am looking for just some general questions mostly. A few questions would be about the person's job and some more 'fluffy' ones about what they like best about their jobs, and the most difficult thing being a geologist studying volcanoes. For AVO specifically, I want to ask:

What do you think is unique about the volcanoes in Alaska compared to volcanoes in other parts of the United States or world?
What do you think is the biggest misconception about volcanoes in Alaska?
Why don't you think the Novarupta eruption is more well known?
How do you explain a pyroclastic flow to someone who knows nothing about them?
What scares you the most about volcanoes in Alaska? Is there a volcano you worry the most about?
What is something that you wish everyone knew about volcanoes, the AVO, or volcanoes in Alaska?

I am looking to conduct an interview with a volcanologist at AVO with some general questions about Alaskan volcanoes. I worked as a ranger in Katmai in 2014 and am now finishing a book about traveling to volcanoes around the world. I would like to talk to a scientist on the record to make sure I have the story of these volcanoes correct and to possibly use their answers as quotes in the book. I would like to set up a phone or Zoom call if possible.
