Good Morning, Ms. Cheryl,
I am SO SORRY - no 650 kids showing up, š. I'll say I am new to organizing things. I should have clarified this much better for you!
We divide kids into Elementary K-5 (199 kids), Middle 6-8 (154 kids), and High School 9-12 (300 kids). We usually open field trips to about 30 students. The AVO field trips would be for older kids, so I'll use high school as my example. I would say advertise sign-ups capping at 30 - or what you deem to fit your agency.
For elementary and middle school students, we ask parents to tag along with their students. Frontier will send two chaperones (teachers/staff). Since we are a home school, everyone shows up in their car, not a school bus.
I am thinking of a February or March time frame. We run into standardized testing in April, and May is the year's end. We can do something next year if that also works for you.
I hope we can work together on getting something. I am a volcano buff (subscribe to your website, etc.), so selfishly, I would love to learn more. It is a fascinating topic; I am sure student sign-ups will fill quickly.
Kindest Regards,
Margie Mitchell
