Good morning, Atmospheric models show ash and sulfur dioxide emissions from Tonga headed west from there over Australia so far. That doesn't mean that the beautiful sunrises and sunsets aren't related, but it is unlikely already on the west coast of the US. However, it will almost certainly be having that effect soon worldwide. For example, this article references the effect of our own Kasatochi eruption in 2008. https://www.livescience.com/2834-volcano-eruption-colors-world-sunsets.html Yours, AVO Greetings from Kodiak This morning we experienced a beautiful, brilliant red sunrise with some impressive clouds formations. In addition, I have friends in Oregon who shared photos of a similarly brilliant sunset from last night. This got me wondering if there is a relationship between the Tonga eruption and the sunrise/sunset we are experiencing. Thank you for your time.
