Hello Russ - The large tectonic earthquakes on the west side of Cook Inlet are not related to volcanic activity. Their depth indicates occurrence in the subducting (downgoing) Pacific plate crust, as opposed to in the crust immediately below the volcanoes. AVO has not detected any changes at either Augustine or Iliamna Volcano from the earthquake at this time. Thank you, Cheryl -------- Russ Plume wrote: Hi there, Are any of these recent earthquakes just west of Anchor Point, Alaska related to Mount Iliamna.
