Hi, Sherman, We've written before about the Islands of the Four Mountains with you. As previously mentioned, one would need permits from the Fish and Wildlife service and to hire a boat from a town some distance away for transportation. There are no regularly scheduled transports to and from the islands. AVO does not organize tours or civilian transport, so I'm afraid we do not have any additional information about how one would get there. We remain happy to answer questions about Alaska volcanism. Sincerely, AVO Hi there! My name is Sherman, a 15 year old from Washington state. I have a dream of visiting the Aleutian Islands, specifically the “Islands of four mountains” group of volcanic islands. I want to go here as a civilian, to explore (WITHOUT DAMAGE OR LITTER), backpack, and take pictures as a nature photographer. I have wanted to do this since I was 10. How exactly can I go about this? Who should I talk to? Which papers will I need? How can I get somewhere so remote? Pretend for this situation budget is not an issue. Thank you! Sherman.
