Hi William, It's likely Martin volcano, but we're waiting on some photographs to confirm. It's not unusual for Martin to have vigorous steam emission, and we currently see nothing out of the ordinary in the seismic signals. Here's a website with more information on Martin: http://www.avo.alaska.edu/volcanoes/volcinfo.php?volcname=Martin If you have any pictures you'd like to send, you can send them directly to me at janet.schaefer@alaska.gov If you could indicate the date and time of the photograph, that would be helpful. Thanks very much for sending us this report. We appreciate receiving your observations. -Janet -------- William Regan wrote: in the last day have seen a vent bigger than ever off in the Katmai around griggs area? this one has steamed before but it is more impressive now than I have remembered in my 50+ which one is this? thank you for your time
