Hi Brent, The USGS has classified Mount Baker as a very high threat volcano, and it is monitored by the Cascades Volcano Observatory. You can read their information on Mount Baker here: https://www.usgs.gov/volcanoes/mount-baker I do want to caution though that the magma intruding under Edgecumbe has no effect on other volcanoes -- they are not interrelated or connected. Thank you for your interest in volcanoes and appreciation of volcano monitoring! Cheryl Hi! Now that Mount Edgecumbe has become active - Do you think Mount Baker in Washington State - 812 miles away - may to become active? I believe in my ignorant opinion that the possibility may actually become extremely high for Mount Baker. 812 miles seems a far distance but earth crusts have large reach. Maybe it is a sign that Mount Baker and Yosemite are next in line. Please forgive my absolute lack of any knowledge - but something in my opinion is pointing that direction. Thank You for everything you do!!! People don't realize just how important you are. Thank You! Brent Hansen
