Hello Tatyana - The maps and information from the AVO URL's that you list below are offered without copyright - please acknowledge the USGS/AVO when using them. However, you describe one of them as showing recent earthquakes - it doesn't do this - it just depicts the locations of our instruments, and the Aviation Color Code / Ground Alert Level for Alaska and Kamchatkan volcanoes. Also, please note the statements about RSAMs limitations on the RSAM page. Thank you, Cheryl Cameron -------- Tatyana Germanova wrote: Dear Sir/Madam, I am geodesy student from Bulgaria and I am currently working on a video project about Digital Earth and the ways of forming complex model of the territory. In developing my project I have found multiple articles on the website Alaska Volcano Observatory and I believe they would be perfect examples for the issues I discuss in the video. The subject of my video is "Digital Earth - fiction bordering reality". My idea is to show that our almost unlimited access to systemized information is now possible because of continuous monitoring of natural phenomena and transforming the results into digital models and maps so that we can visualize the data and therefore understand and analyse it. In order to emphasize that I need specific examples for visualization of data. I believe you hold the copyright to the application for observing recent earthquakes in Alsaka therefore I am seeking your permission to use it in my video. Here is a link http://www.avo.alaska.edu/activity/index.php. I want to show the map of the volcanoes along with the Real time seismic amplitude measurement http://www.avo.alaska.edu/rsam/index.php My purpose is to show todays opportunities to observe the changes of the environment and thus the opportunity for timely reactions. If you are not the copyright holder of these materials would you please provide me with any information regarding the proper copyright holder, including current e-mail adresses. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
