Hi Ben - AVO does not have many student volunteers - they are based at the University of Alaska Fairbanks or the University of Alaska Anchorage. We do highly recommend the International Volcanology Field School summer course, however. https://www.uaf.edu/geology/academics/international-volcanology/ Best wishes on your studies, cheryl -------- Ben Ireland wrote: Dear Sir/Madam, I am a second year Earth and Environmental Science undergraduate at Lancaster University, UK. I am writing because I have seen from the University of Alaska Fairbanks website, as well as the Partnership for Volcanological Research and Education website, that you may offer volunteering opportunities for students. I was just wondering if this is still something that you offer, and if so is there somewhere someone such as myself could apply or find out more information? Thank you in advance, Ben Ireland Lancaster University -- Cheryl Cameron Geologist, Alaska Volcano Observatory Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys voice: 907-451-5012 fax: 907-451-5050
