Hi Taylor - AVO is a multi-agency organization, so AVO employees work for the USGS, or the Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys, or the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute. If there was a job opening, it would be posted on the respective agency's HR website. I don't think there are are any current openings, and I am hesitant to speculate about the future. Congratulations on your graduation, and best wishes, Cheryl Cameron -------- Taylor Witcher wrote: To whom it may concern, I am wondering if there will be any job openings for a very enthusiastic recent Master's graduate in the next year or so. I am graduating from LMU Munich in July, and currently pursuing a month-long internship in Iceland in September. My thesis focused on the brittle behavior of silicate melts when a critical strain rate is applied, experimentally recreating textures of this phenomenon preserved beautifully in obsidian from the Krafla volcano in Iceland. I'd very much like to continue studying volcanic processes, and if you know of any possibilities I would be thrilled to hear back from you. Thanks for your time!
