Hi Ethan, We have not noticed anything unusual on the seismometer network near Bogoslof. We'd definitely like to take a look at the photo though! Can you send it to me at abigail.nastan@alaska.gov? Thanks, Abbey Nastan AVO Staff Good Afternoon, I received a photo from the captain of the F/V Early Dawn at 1530 on 9/9/24 showing what appears to be an ash ploom emitting from Bogolsof. Message with photo said "Bogoslof is popping". F/V Early Dawn is currently fishing Eastern Aleutian Islands golden king crab and I believe the photo was taken while transiting to fishing grounds at Islands of Four Mountains. If you are interested in seeing the photo or getting more information, please contact the captain (Mark Medjo, 1-509-290-3141) or me. F/V Early Dawn is currently on the fishing grounds and may be able to get close to Bogoslof as they transit back to Dutch Harbor, if there is any interest from AVO.
