Hello Donna - "Pavlov" is a Russian version of the name Paul, so Pavlof Volcano is likely named for Saint Paul. This name appears as early as 1836 in written documents. Thanks for your interest, Cheryl -------- Donna wrote: I have an odd question, I was wondering the name of Pavlof volcano, was that name after Pavlof Pitka. I have a great grandfather named Pavlof Pitka.
