Hello James - Thank you for your support and appreciation. We continue to try our best! -Cheryl -------- James wrote: Hello, I am seeing a considerable amount of increased activity across the board. Multiple quakes are registering on the webicorders or, seismograms. We felt a sizable jolt today at approximately 1:05Pm AKDT, but no information was released to the size. The direction, distance and depth was recorded, but no magnitude of the quake's size. I am getting a bit concerned over the increased activity I'm seeing, suggesting some large unrest beneath the earth. It's an awful time to be making cutbacks on the team. I'm no expert in volcanism or earth movement activity, but even I can see that something is happening beneath us, indicating that we should be paying closer attention. Of course you are free to dismiss my assessment as you see fit. I appreciate your willingness to entertain my hypotheses and put up with my eccentric bantering. I appreciate you and your teammates and the hard work you to in trying to keep us informed and safe, thank you! James PS, I've written you many times over the years and I'm no stranger to your work. -- Cheryl Cameron Geologist, Alaska Volcano Observatory Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys voice: 907-451-5012 fax: 907-451-5050
