I am writing to inquire about possible internships that you at AVO offer to students like myself. I assure you this is not completely random, I am currently working on my senior thesis, (here it is called the comprehensive) a project that has been about 2 years in the making. I spent a summer doing research in the Talkeetna Range looking at various shallow intrusive volcanic dikes and plugs and realized then that Alaska is somewhere I would like to lend my skills. I have experience doing field work and lab work, most of the geochem and geochron data we took for the project was analyzed at The National Taiwan University as a part of a collaborative project under the NSF. In addition, I presented my ongoing research at this past Geological Society of America Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina. Anyways, I just wanted to give a quick synopses of who I am and my areas of interest and focus.
