Hi Amanda - Mt. Spurr has not erupted since it's 1992 eruption. Where do you see that it had a plume cloud and ash in 2018? There was no ash from Mt. Spurr (or it's Crater Peak vent) in 2018. Thank you, Cheryl Cameron -------- Amanda Beaver wrote: Good morning, My name is Amanda and I am writing a content article about deadly LAHAR threats. I just had a question about Mt. Spurr that I am hoping you can clarify. Through my research, I have noted that the last eruption was in 1992, however, I also see that there was a plume cloud and ash in 2018. What constitutes an "eruption". Would 2018 be considered a different term? Any info that you can provide would be helpful.
