Hi Peter - I live in Fairbanks, and noticed a coating of dust on items I left outside. It looks like ash from nearby forest fires to me. None of the eruptions currently ongoing would carry ash to the interior. Thank you, Cheryl -------- Peter Burokas wrote: On 7/8 after working outside my eyes started to burn and water, this lasted for several hours after i returned to my cabin. I woke up this morning and there was a coating on my truck that was very hard to remove even with water. I am used to forest fire smoke in that we had one near the homestead a few years ago and this coating did not act like dust from a fire. Could it have come from any volcano? My location is 65 North of Fairbanks near Livengood.
