Hello Jeannette - We have information on historical (back to the start of a written record in Alaska - about 1700) eruptions on our website - see the "Reported Activity" link for each individual volcano (https://www.avo.alaska.edu/volcanoes/volcact.php?volcname=Shishaldin ). For volcanoes that have been geologically studied, historical and prehistoric eruptions are documented in publications. You can find lists of publications in the bibliography section of each volcano on the website. Thank you, Cheryl -------- Jeannette Greene wrote: how far back do your records go? do they start in 1988 or do you have information on Alaska volcanoes that is older than that? how old? -- Cheryl Cameron Geologist, Alaska Volcano Observatory Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys voice: 907-451-5012 fax: 907-451-5050
