Hello Beth - Mt. Fairweather is not a volcano. It is made of sedimentary and intrusive rocks. Mt. Edgecumbe *is* a volcano, with it's most recent eruption 3000-5000 years ago. We have information on Edgecumbe here: http://www.avo.alaska.edu/volcanoes/volcinfo.php?volcname=Edgecumbe , and you might be interested in downloading this pdf: http://www.avo.alaska.edu/pdfs/cit639_5.0.pdf Thank you, Cheryl Cameron -------- beth wrote: Is it a dormant volcano. My fairweather in s.e Alaska. If it is has it ever erupted. Has mt edgecumbe.
