Re: Gareloi Island tremors
Hello Lisa - Cheryl Searcy, our duty scientist of the week and also seismologist will write you an email with more information, but I thought I'd send a quick note to say thanks for the observations and to let you know we're looking into things. We only have one working station on Gareloi at present, however. Our main phone number: (907) 786-7497 is a way to reach an AVO staff person (often via answering service) 24/7. Thank you, Cheryl Cameron -------- Lisa Spitler wrote: Field crew stationed on Gareloi Island reported a series of tremors throughout the day today, including one at 2110h local time as we were speaking on the radio. Tremors were of a magnitude that they were noticeable to crews working outside, moving around. I didn't notice anything on the Recent Earthquakes page so thought I better let you know and see if you had any insights. No sulfur smell (yet!).
