The most recent released photos show clearly what a close call that was. We recall reading your reports at the time that stated that your photos of the incident were being "embargoed" by the authorities. Is it fair to say that you were unable to report fully your findings at the time due to the obvious serious danger that was extant at the Drift River Terminal had Redoubt erupted again? Also, we would like to know what your assessment is of the threat to the Drift River Terminal in the event of future eruptions of Redoubt, given how the last eruptions created an enormous channel that will likely accelerate debris flows directly towards the Terminal. The photos tell the story of a very close call in our opinion. Any input you could give us would be greatly appreciated.
