Hello Nina, This isn't a weird question - it's one that we often get asked. Unfortunately, our remote operations are expensive, with limited capacity for people and essential gear, and we have stringent safety training requirements for field personnel, so it isn't possible for people to tag along on our fieldwork. But for field volcanology experience, the International Volcanology Field School (https://www.uaf.edu/geosciences/academics/international-volcanology/index.ph... ) is really great but I think this year's may be canceled due to covid-19. Thank you. -------- Nina MacFarlane wrote: You guys probably get weird questions, I'm curious if you guys ever let people go along on expeditions you do to volcanoes through out Alaska, it's been something I absolutely would love doing. If you do what are the expectations, besides the risks.
