Re: Doroshin (1870) literature source
Dear Cheryl,
Thanks, that information is very helpful! I found the translated source
here:
https://www.jstor.org/stable/40490770
and ordered a pdf from interlibrary loan.

Dear Carl -
I have photocopied pages of the translation in a green three ring binder in my office. They came from Juergen Kienle's files. I'm not in my office these days (teleworking from home), but I could go get it and work out a loan to you somehow. It is bundled with several other documents that are important - I'd definitely want to make sure I got it back.
This is how I cite the translation ( https://avo.alaska.edu/downloads/searchbib.php?) : Kisslinger, J.B., 1983, Some volcanoes, volcanic eruption, and earthquakes in the former Russian America. Peter Doroshin's account of volcanic activity and earthquakes between 1840 and 1866: Pacific Northwest Quarterly, v. 74, n. 2, p. 59-68.
Let me know what you think the best way to arrange a transfer is. I work at the Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys on the western end of College Road.
Thanks, cheryl
Lynn Sykes mentioned this literature source by Doroshin (1870). I've seen three citations:
Doroshin, P., Onekotorykh vulkanakh, ikh izverzheniyakh: Zemletryanseniyakh v byvshikh Amerikamskikh: Zemletryaseniyakh v byvshikh Amerikamskikh vladeniyakh Rossii (Some volcanoes, their eruptions, and earthquakes in the former Russian holdings in America), Zap. Imp. St. Peterb. Mineral. O va, Ser. 2, 25.44, 1870
Doroshin, P., O nekotorikh vulkanakh... [On certain volcanoes, their eruptions, and earthquakes in the former possessions of Russian America] Verhandlungen der Russisch-kaserlichen mineralogischen Gesellschaft, v. 2 seriya, St. Petersburg, pp. 25-44.
Also, a mention of a translation by Kisslinger here:

Do any of you happen to have a pdf of this source (original or translated)? I prefer to have a source in hand before citing it.
