Hello Heike - Glad you enjoy our webcams. The Iliamna cam is actually on the Kenai peninsula, and looks across Cook Inlet to Iliamna. There are quite a few people on the Kenai peninsula, including those in the homes and businesses you can see in the Iliamna cam. Thank you, Cheryl -------- Heike Repplinger wrote: Hi ,I am looking every evening at the webcam from Iliamna. I enjoy watching the coverage. I enjoy the scenery, the different seasons, the sunrises and sunsets. If the weather is nice you can see what i assume is the volcano in the background. I also have a question: are people/families living in the houses you can spot when looking at the webcam? I hope the camera keeps sending! Im sure the work you are doing there is remarkably interesting. All the best wishes form germany and hoping for a reply, Heike Repplinger -- Cheryl Cameron Geologist, Alaska Volcano Observatory Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys voice: 907-451-5012 fax: 907-451-5050
