We had just finished dinner at Simon and Seaforts and had returned to our hotel room at the Captin Cook and saw what appeared to be an expanding vertical ash plume over a volcanic peak across the Cook Inlet south of Mt Redoubt. It was clearly defined and silhouetted by a red sky shortly after sunset.. If it was an ash plume, what volcano was it associated with?
