Hi Anthony - AVO does not have a formal volunteer or internship program. AVO is a partnership between three public organizations. Opportunities working (including volunteering) with AVO would be specifically advertised under these three organizations. Opportunities with the USGS usually require U.S. citizenship. Employment with the State of Alaska often requires Alaska residency, and student opportunities with the University of Alaska Fairbanks typically require enrollment at UAF as a full-time student. Currently, there are no AVO-affliated student positions at UAF. If there are employment positions with AVO, you'd find them on the appropriate partner's HR webpage. Thanks, -Seth -------- Anthony Feldman wrote: Hello, I am a current junior studying Geology at the University of Miami. I am considering pursuing volcanology in graduate school and am currently researching possible summer internship or research positions. If the Alaska Volcano Observatory has any sort of internship or project that could use a student assistant during the summer months I would love to apply for it. This email box doesn't have any way for me to attach a resume or university transcript but if you would wish to see either please let me know some way to contact you. I am available by email at adfeld42@live.com or a.feldman10@umiami.edu and also by phone at 757-871-7376. I look forward to hearing from you.
