Hello Alyosha, No people from AVO are traveling to Kamchatka - they have their own very capable teams of volcanologists. If there is an eruption with ashfall in Alaska, we are always seeking citizen scientists to make ash (or no ash!) observations and collections. https://www.avo.alaska.edu/ashfall.php Thank you, cheryl This may be a far stretch or a weird request, I am curious if any staff are going to the eruption and if so collect some ash for me, I am in Anchorage, I love everything on volcanoes to taking a class course on them to get certified and want some ash from this eruption and a lot of it to add to my growing collection. I would pay if shipping it is needed and or be taken on an eruption quest if one here in Alaska goes off for ash collecting.
