Good morning, Tim B., Today, as I'm sure you know, Redoubt is at Aviation Color Code: Green and Volcano Alert Level: Normal. The possible expansion of the dome and the increased steaming that you are seeing is part of the normal summer melting of the snowpack. The dome has a lot of heat left, and will melt out faster than the area around it, causing it to appear to grow as it emerges from the winter's cover. Thanks for keeping an eye on it! Yours, John Good morning.. I was just looking at the video feed from Redoubt and it looks to me like the dome has expanded some. It’s been steaming a lot of late.. I use to sail out of Homer so I like to keep abreast of the activity.. Thanks. TimB
